Intellectual Property & Work Product Ownership Policy (Strict)

Purpose: Intern hosts contribute directly to content, assets, and systems that are core to Healthy Mind by Avik™. This policy ensures that all work created during the internship remains the property of the company and is protected from misuse, duplication, or unauthorized distribution.

Applies to: All paid intern podcast hosts and anyone creating content, assets, or materials for Healthy Mind by Avik™ during their internship.

9.1 Ownership Rule (Company Ownership + Assignment of Rights)

A) Work made for Healthy Mind by Avik™
All work created, developed, drafted, recorded, edited, designed, compiled, or improved by an intern during internship duties or using company resources is the exclusive property of Healthy Mind by Avik™.

This includes work created:

  • during assigned working hours or outside hours if related to internship tasks,

  • using company tools, files, templates, guest lists, or internal systems,

  • while representing Healthy Mind by Avik™ or acting under instructions from the Team Lead/Founder.

B) Work product covered
The term “Work Product” includes (but is not limited to):

Content & editorial materials

  • episode outlines, scripts, segment plans, intros/outros

  • interview questions, follow-up questions, frameworks, question banks

  • show notes, titles, descriptions, timestamps, highlights

  • content calendars, publishing schedules, episode planning documents

  • guest prep notes, guest research docs, briefing sheets (internal)

Media & creative assets

  • thumbnails, cover designs, banners, creatives

  • reels, shorts, clips, audiograms

  • social captions, hashtags, copy variations, community posts

  • edited audio/video assets, cutdowns, compilation edits (where applicable)

  • transcripts, summaries, quote cards, visual storyboards

Operational & system assets

  • templates, formats, SOPs, checklists, playbooks

  • workflows, process documents, onboarding materials

  • spreadsheets, trackers, guest databases (and any derivative lists)

  • email/DM outreach scripts, follow-up sequences, pitch templates

  • tagging systems, file naming structures, folder hierarchies

Brand & strategy materials

  • brand voice guidelines, tone frameworks, message pillars

  • partnership decks, sponsorship drafts, internal growth notes (internal)

C) Assignment and transfer
To the extent any rights do not automatically vest in Healthy Mind by Avik™, the intern agrees to assign and transfer all intellectual property rights in the Work Product to Healthy Mind by Avik™ without additional compensation beyond the agreed stipend.

D) No independent ownership claims
Interns may not claim ownership, license, sell, reuse, distribute, or publish Work Product (or derivatives) without written permission from Healthy Mind by Avik™.

9.2 Use of Company IP & Tools (No Unauthorized Use)

A) No external distribution
Interns/employees must not:

  • share company templates, SOPs, formats, question banks, or scripts externally,

  • upload Work Product to personal drives for personal use,

  • repost full episode scripts or internal documents publicly.

B) No personal brand building using company work
Interns/employees must not use Work Product to:

  • start or run an independent podcast/network using the same formats,

  • replicate internal systems/processes as a “product” or paid offering,

  • pitch guests using Healthy Mind by Avik™ frameworks outside official work.

9.3 Portfolio Usage (Allowed With Clear Boundaries)

We respect that interns/employees need proof of work. Portfolio use is permitted only under these conditions:

A) What you may use
Interns/employees may reference or display only released/published materials that are already public, such as:

  • a link to a published episode they hosted,

  • published show notes or timestamps they wrote (public version),

  • public reels/clips/thumbnails that were posted by the brand.

B) Requirements for portfolio use
Portfolio use is permitted only if:

  • the work is already public on Healthy Mind by Avik™ channels,

  • Healthy Mind by Avik™ is clearly credited (logo/name + link where possible),

  • no confidential details are included (guest contacts, private discussions, sponsor rates, internal process),

  • no raw/unreleased drafts, raw audio/video, or internal documents are used,

  • nothing implies the intern/employees owns the content or brand.

C) Approval requirement (recommended)
For safety, interns/employees should send a quick message to the Team Lead before posting portfolio material, especially if it includes screenshots or behind-the-scenes context.

D) Prohibited portfolio content
Interns/employees may not include in portfolios:

  • unreleased episodes, raw recordings, drafts, or internal transcripts,

  • internal SOPs/templates/checklists/workflows,

  • private guest communications, guest contact details, pipelines,

  • sponsor communications, rates, contracts, partner negotiations,

  • internal strategy documents or team messages.

9.4 No Reuse / No Replication of Formats (Strict)

Interns may not replicate, copy, or adapt Healthy Mind by Avik™ proprietary formats for external use without written permission, including:

  • episode structure templates, segment flows, signature question sequences,

  • internal hosting frameworks, onboarding flows, or research templates,

  • SOPs for guest outreach, scheduling, publishing, distribution,

  • any internally developed systems that create operational advantage.

During internship/job: replication for any external podcast/network/project is prohibited.
After internship/job: any use of proprietary formats or internal systems remains prohibited unless written permission is granted.

9.5 Use of Guest Relationships (Linked to IP Protection)

Guest lists, pipelines, and relationships built through Healthy Mind by Avik™ are considered a business asset. Interns/employees may not use these to:

  • invite guests to personal shows/projects,

  • build their own guest pipeline using company data,

  • approach guests for personal business opportunities.

(Also covered under Confidentiality Policy.)

9.6 Enforcement & Consequences

Violation of this policy may lead to:

  • immediate removal of access to company tools and files,

  • pay deduction for impacted work (as applicable),

  • termination of internship engagement,

  • legal action where necessary to protect company IP and business assets.
